Proper Skate Fit The fit of your skates, along with Proper
Skate Sharpening,
is extremely important
at every level of skating from beginner to advanced. If a
skate is fit too large it will compromise your ability to
skate for several reasons:
- Your foot will slip inside the
boot making even the most basic moves difficult,
- The balance point on the blade
will be too far back, again making even the most basic
moves difficult - in particular
skating backwards,
- You may get blisters due to rubbing
in the boot,
- The boots will break down quickly
because of the space in the boot.
You can expect to get approximately one year's use out of
your skates. When you do outgrow your skates, we guarantee
1/3 of the original purchase price toward the price of a
new skate when traded in within 18 months.
GUARANTEED TRADE-IN – We
guarantee 1/3 of the purchase price back when skates are
returned within 18 months. Prices listed current as of 08/06/08.
